After receiving our grades for our AS Media Studies coursework, as a group we all felt slightly disappointed with the fact that our grades were lower than we originally anticipated. In order to understand why, our teachers looked into our results and comments to understand where we had gone wrong.
After understanding this, we decided as a group, we were willing to make the appropriate changes and to resubmit our coursework in order to attain the highest grades possible.
We began by showing
our product to the class and taking audience feedback; some students stated that
they felt that our biggest drawback was that our storyline was still unclear.
Henceforth, we sat down as a group and watched our sequence over and over,
verbally discussing changes that could be made each time.
At first, we thought
we would have to re-film it entirely... As we had to do all our AS work alongside our A2 work, we felt this was a bit of a challenge and in completely re-doing our AS next to creating our A2 we risked the chances of falling flat on our faces and not doing well in either. Because of this we were unsure of what to do, however, we spoke to everyone possible in order to get as much feedback as we could and came to the conclusion that we should keep all
of our original footage, just alter our idea in order for the storyline to
become clearer to the audience.
